President Pezeshkian calls for political, economic and cultural boycotts.

On Monday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Muslim countries to adopt a united and coherent stance against Israeli aggression and to respond with concrete political, economic and cultural boycotts of the Tel Aviv regime.

Israel’s latest assault constituted a flagrant violation of all international norms and resolutions, Pezeshkian said before departing for Qatar to join the emergency summit convened by Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The Iranian leader warned that Israel acts without limits thanks to the backing of the United States and several European nations.

“The Israeli regime knows no borders. It has attacked Qatar, Iran, Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon. If Muslim countries act as a single body, Israel will not dare to repeat these violations,” Pezeshkian said.

On Sept. 9, Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building in the Qatari capital where Hamas leaders were meeting to discuss a cease-fire proposal put forward by Washington.

The strike killed five Palestinians and one Qatari security officer, an act Doha condemned as “state terrorism” and a direct violation of its sovereignty.

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) overwhelmingly condemned the attack, while international alarm has grown over Israel’s willingness to expand the conflict beyond Gaza.

Hours before the summit, U.S. Special Envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack met in Doha with Qatari PM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, expressing Washington’s “support for Qatar” after the assault.

His gesture of solidarity, however, was quickly overshadowed by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s visit to Israel. In Jerusalem, Rubio met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and visited the Western Wall, accompanied by envoy Mike Huckabee.

“Hamas must cease to exist as an armed element that threatens peace and security,” Rubio said, in a clear show of support for Israel’s position.

He stressed that the attack on Qatar would not alter the U.S.-Israeli alliance, highlighting a contradiction in U.S. policy: diplomatic support for Doha, but full alignment with Israel even after the strike.

Ali Larijani, head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned that statements alone are insufficient and called for a “joint operations room” among Muslim countries to confront Israel’s “madness.”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi and the Qatari emir agreed on the need to build a shared vision for Arab collective action, while demanding an immediate cease-fire in Gaza and rejecting any attempt to displace the Palestinian people.

The Doha summit, bringing together leaders from the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, seeks to deliver a unified response to an Israeli aggression that threatens to escalate the conflict beyond Gaza and undermine mediation efforts.
